Videos Maserati Merak Rear Link Rod Bushing Replacement.

Rear Link Rod Bushing Replacement.

This rear link rod was first powder coated and then baked. This made the bushing very soft. Once cooled, it is very easy to push out the inner metal sleeve as well as the original bushing rubber. This video shows It being replaced with a [70 Shore A] rubber polyurethane bushing while leaving the original outer metal sleeve in the link rod end. Once the rubber polyurethane bushing is fitted into the link rod, the inner metal sleeve is pressed in by refitting and tightening the locking nut. The inner metal sleeve expands the rubber polyurethane bushing inside the outer metal sleeve into a super tight fit. Thanks for watching! Ciao, Merak Group
